New Bus Service Coming
A new bus service is coming to West Durrington which will see an extension to the No. 5 service. The extension will run through Castle Park, along Celadine Road (opposite Tesco), and will continue to provide regular services to Worthing (including the train station).
Service frequency will increase to every 20-30 minutes Monday to Saturday, and every 30minutes on Sundays and Bank Holidays.
This update will officially be in service from the 6th April 2025

This service routes from West Durrington to Worthing, via Broadwater. The 5 bus offers a service approximately every 30 minutes in each direction, Monday to Saturday. On Sundays an hourly service is provided. The 5 bus provides a direct link from the site to Worthing Rail Station. This service will be fully open, utilising the new Celadine Bus Stop, on the 06th April 2025!

This service routes from Wothing to West Durrington, via Tarring. These routes provide a service approximately every 20 minutes in each direction, Monday to Saturday. The 10 bus provides a direct link from the site to Worthing Rail Station and stops within a short walk of Durrington-on-Sea and Goring-by-Sea station (400 metres).
Pulse​
This service routes from West Durrington to Lancing via Worthing and provides a service every 10-20 minutes Monday to Friday. It also provides services every 20 minutes on Saturdays and Sundays.The Pulse bus provides a direct link to Durrington-on-Sea station.
COnnect 7
This service routes from Durrington to Salvington and Worthing. It provides a service every 90 minutes in each direction, Monday to Saturday. This service routes directly to West Worthing station.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Why Public Transport?
Public transport can be quicker, cheaper and more convenient than using your car and provides a significant environmental benefit. Using public transport can remove the stress of finding a car parking space, sitting in traffic and the costs of owning a car. Furthermore, you can travel to your destination while you relax with a newspaper or catch-up on social media.
Where are my nearest bus stops?
There are number of bus stops near to West Durrington, which form your local stop depending where on the site you are, with a new bus stop located within West Durrington along Celadine Road.

For residents in the southern part of the site, the nearest bus stops are at Tesco, approximately 650 metres from the site (8 minute walk). These stops are served by all the services shown adjacent.

For residents in the middle part of the site, the nearest bus stops are at Torridge Close, approximately 450 metres from the site (6 minute walk). These stops are served by the 5 and Connect 7 services.

For residents in the northern part of the site, the nearest bus stops are at Cherwell, approximately 100 metres from the site (1 minute walk). These stops are served by the 5 bus service.

Rail
Goring-by-Sea Rail Station is located approximately 1.9 kilometres south of West Durrington and is easily accessible via a 7 minute bike ride or via the Number 10 bus service.
The station provides car parking for 11 vehicles, as well as cycle parking for 23 bicycles, and step free access coverage. The station offers PlusBus service, which allows local bus travel to be included in the rail ticket.

Durrington-on-Sea Rail Station is located approximately 2km kilometres south-east of the site and is easily accessible via a 8 minute bike ride or via the Pulse bus.
The station provides car parking for 125 vehicles, as well as cycle parking spaces for 26 bicycles. It also offers a ticket office and ticket machines, as well as step free access coverage. The station also offers PlusBus.

Both stations benefit from services approximately every 30 minutes to London Victoria, which also call at Brighton. On top of this there is an hourly local stopping service to Brighton. There is also an hourly service to Southampton, via Littlehampton and Portsmouth. Finally, there is a local service every 30 minutes to Littlehampton.

Car SHARING
